Our Team
Mark Hoffman
Mark actively volunteers his time collaborating with a variety of non-profit organizations and has worked closely with numerous local community members to significantly improve their quality of life, both at home and within their businesses.
Mark grew up in Summerland, BC. As a child, he spent his summers biking around his hometown with friends, enjoying the fruit from nearby orchards and his own peach tree. Okanagan Lake and the many beaches were cherished to cool off during the long dry summers. Shortly after graduating at Summerland Secondary School, Mark moved to Burnaby, BC to study in the electronics common core program at BCIT. After a brief period of studying electronics, he switched to the more hands-on electrical trades program, where he diligently honed his practical skills. Throughout his career, he has successfully worked as a Certified Red Seal FSR Electrician, contributing his extensive expertise to a wide range of diverse projects such as hospitals, schools, retail stores, restaurants and large custom residential homes. Additionally, Mark has received specialized training in the United States in modern and cutting-edge automation and lighting systems, further enriching his skill set.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mark was a dedicated martial artist, earning numerous provincial, national, and world cup awards in the discipline of Chito-Ryu Karate. With the guidance of his world class karate instructors, his continuous hard work set him up for success in the competitive world of martial arts. Mark now enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife raising his two energetic sons right here in Kelowna. Mark has been diligently working on revitalizing his 114-year-old Kelowna heritage home to not only boost its energy efficiency and overall comfort but also to ensure that its unique historic charm is lovingly preserved throughout the process. Mark’s continued work on the heritage home shows his commitment to both his family and his contribution to maintaining his neighbourhoods older character and charm.
While raking leaves on a sunny day, Mark chatted with an neighbourhood KSAN member about thoughtful and considerate community improvements. A KSAN Board Member approached him, inviting him to join the Board, which he found exciting and important for his future community involvement.
